At Poland United Methodist Church, the Rev. Kenneth Gifford has created a new way to worship together while staying apart, with a “drive-in” worship in the church parking lot. He said he stands at the front of the parking lot and gives the worship and prayer while people stay in their cars listening on FM Channel 88 on the radio.

NEW YORK (AP) — In Sandwich, New Hampshire, a town of 1,200 best known as the setting for the movie “On Golden Pond," broadband is scarce. Forget streaming Netflix, much less working or studying from home. Even the police department has trouble uploading its reports. Julie Dolan, a 65-year-old retiree in Sandwich, has asthma.

Discrimination that the Sinhalese face in the North and the East

The Latest: Becher defends Sharks' games amid county caution
Santa Clara County issued a recommendation on March 5 that mass gatherings should be postponed or canceled to control the spread of the new coronavirus. The recommendation also said that if large gatherings can't be avoided that people who are sick or at high risk shouldn't attend and extra cleaning precautions should be taken.
