Priests Charged After Leading Procession in Violation of COVID-19 Restrictions in Montenegro
Prison sentences may be handed down to eight Serbian Orthodox priests arrested for violating public health orders after leading an illegal procession through the streets of Niksic, Montenegro, on May 12, media reported. Radio Free Europe said the priests face up to 12 years in prison if convicted.

COVID-19: ‘Prophet’ Abraham Chol released from prison
Authorities have released self-proclaimed prophet Abraham Chol Maketh nearly two weeks after he was sentenced to a month in jail for defying a ban on congregations to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Abraham Chol of Cush International Church was arrested by police in Juba on April 26 for defying coronavirus-related bans on large gatherings.
