The Atlantic String Quartet is finally releasing its debut album — after 35 years
The four members of the Atlantic String Quartet are almost too busy to think about making a recording. Violinists Heather Kao and Nancy Case-Oates, violist Kate Read and cellist Theo Weber perform with the quartet and with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, teach privately, coach and conduct others, and are in-demand session musicians.

One person hospitalised following three vehicle collision yesterday evening on the N5 between Ballaghaderreen and Frenchpark
The N5 between Ballaghaderreen and Frenchpark re-opened to traffic again last night following a three vehicle collision at about 7pm yesterday evening. Emergency services attended the scene of the collision and one person was taken by ambulance to hospital. The road remained closed to traffic for some hours, and re-opened again about 11pm.
