Burlesque community to mark Katrina +10 with two August shows
has enjoyed a renaissance that kicked into high gear in the 10 years since Hurricane Katrina. To commemorate the anniversary, two productions are in the works that reflect the storm's impact on the performers and that community. Remy Dee, a performer and producer of one of the shows, says she found catharsis in burlesque post-Katrina.
