MUMBAI, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed marginally higher on Friday amid thin-trading in Asia. Indian equities clinched fresh record highs in the intra-day session on sustained bullish momentum in the markets. The benchmark S&P, BSE Sensex closed at 47,868.98, 117.65 points or 0.25 percent up compared to its previous close at 47,751.
