Japanese trading company Itochu and Hitachi’s Swiss subsidiary Hitachi Zosen Innova (HZI) have won the contract to build and operate a $1.2bn waste-to-energy plant in Dubai,
Nikkei Asia. The 200MW facility will burn about 6,000 tonnes of household waste a day, equivalent to about half the city’s waste.
