Israel has established formal diplomatic relations with Bhutan, a country surrounded by the Himalayas. The country’s foreign ministry announced on Saturday that it was increasing its recognition of Israel. Foreign Minister Jabi Ashkenazi said in a statement that establishing relations with Bhutan would deepen Israel’s relations with Asia.
