Monsignor Mario Grech was appointed a Cardinal with 12 others by Pope Francis during a convening of Cardinals this afternoon in the St Peter’s Basilica at The Vatican. Cardinal Grech became the third appointed Cardinal in the history of the Church in Malta and Gozo and the first to be appointed from Gozo.
