|Consumer spending up during Chinese National Day holiday as more go on domestic trips|
BEIJING (CHINA DAILY/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Chinese consumers appear to be spending more money during the country's National Day holiday than last year. On the first two days of the eight-day holiday starting on Oct 1, Chinese consumers spent 628 billion yuan (S$126 billion) by UnionPay card, up 11.8 per cent year-on-year, according to UnionPay.
