NEW YORK: Oil prices rose about US$1 (RM4.28) a barrel yesterday, after bullish data from Asia and Europe, but investors are wary about sharp spikes in new coronavirus infections around the world. Brent crude rose 74 cents, or 1.8%, to US$41.76 a barrel by 1651 GMT. US crude gained US$1.06, or 2.8%, to US$39.
