Just under four months after Africa recorded its first coronavirus case, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has reached more than 250,000. Although this number is far lower than what we’ve seen in Europe, the US and Asia, the World Health Organization says that the pandemic is gaining ground in Africa.
