Stocks in Asia Pacific were mostly positive in Friday afternoon trade as investors await the U.S. nonfarm payrolls report expected later in the day stateside. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 rose 0.45% in afternoon trade while the Topix index added 0.25%. South Korea's Kospi jumped 1.24% as shares of LG Chem surged more than 3%.
