According to a 2019 report by the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), counterfeit goods account for 7% of imports into the EU and are valued at EUR 121 billion. These counterfeit products originate mainly in such countries as Hong Kong, China, Turkey and the countries of South-East Asia.
