The Indian indices declined more than 1% on Tuesday tracking weak cues from Asian markets as well as the Centre’s indication that the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown could be extended beyond May 17. The S&P BSE Sensex dropped as much as 1.47% or 463.72 points to hit 31,097.50 in the first few minutes of trade after starting the session down 218.
