During his tenure at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School John O'Hara implemented a degree-based curriculum in filmmaking and secured federal funding in a rapidly evolving industry. John Bernard O’Hara was born in the Victorian regional town of Colac on April 20, 1944, the son of John Bernard O’Hara and Mary (nee Kearney).
