The Asian giant hornet (Picture: Getty Images/Photo Researchers RM) Scientists in the US are drawing up plans to eradicate swarms of huge and potentially fatal hornets. The Asian giant, or ‘murder hornet’, can grow as large as two-and-a-half inches long and is capable of delivering multiple stings, each carrying toxic venom.
