Landlockedness is inherent economic limitation denoting lack of access to sea. It is a key challenge faced by the Central Asia Republics (CARs) of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan is, in fact, doubly landlocked for being with landlocked neighbors.
