Indian stocks soared as trading resumed after a holiday, outpacing gains in equities across Asia, on optimism that the deadly coronavirus pandemic may be waning in some key global hot spots. The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex rose per cent, the most since May 2009, while the NSE Nifty 50 Index advanced by a similar amount.
