Global markets have suffered significant losses as the spread of the coronavirus concerns investors of falling demand across Asia. European shares suffered their biggest hit since mid-2016 following a surge of cases in Italy. Wall Street dipped up slightly, while London's FTSE wiped almost $400 billion from the region's market value.
