South Korea's Kospi dropped 3% to 2,098.37, while the S&P ASX/200 in Sydnay lost 2.3% to 6,975.20. Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped 1.5% to 26,903.84 and the Shanghai Composite index lost 0.3% to 3,029.22. Benchmarks in Jakarta, Taiwan and Thailand fell by more than 1% and India's Sensex lost 1% to 40,755.
