Doctor Ba, currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the first female doctors who traversed the Annamite (Truong Son) Mountain Range to the southern battlefield during the American war. After national reunification, she continued to serve in the health sector as deputy director of Cho Ray Hospital and as deputy health minister.
