After hearing for years how it was the smartest and most important anime of all time, I finally watched all of Neon Genesis Evangelion after it hit Netflix with a new dub. And I liked it! The characters aren’t just sad but have compelling psychological depth. The action scenes are well-staged. The deconstruction of the mech genre is fascinating.
