The history of the elephants in Borneo is the most interesting of the four sub species of elephants that exist in the wilds of Asia. The four sub species are Elephasmaximusmaximus from Sri Lanka, Elephasmaximusindicus from mainland India, and Elephasmaximussumatranus from Sumatra, Indonesia.
