DW News Ring-of-fire solar eclipse crosses southern Asia. Sky-watchers in the Middle East and Asia were treated to a rare annular solar eclipse. The characteristic ‘ring of fire‘ resulting when the moon covers the sun’s center was followed by thousands, many with special goggles to protect their eyesight.
