(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks looked set for gains Tuesday after equities hit new highs on Wall Street, with investors optimistic about easing U.S.-China trade tensions. Treasuries and the dollar fell. Futures pointed higher in Japan and Hong Kong. Australia opened modestly higher after outperforming in Asia Monday.
