BANGKOK -- The British pound edged higher Friday as Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party claimed a robust majority in Parliament, while talk of China-U.S. trade deal buoyed share prices in Asia. The British pound rose to $1.3470 from $1.3385 late Thursday but then fell back to a much less enthusiastic $1.
