KUALA LUMPUR: Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd, the largest aluminium smelter in Southeast Asia, has bought a 25 per cent stake in PT Bintan Alumina Indonesia for US$80.23 million. PT Bintan is building a one million tonnes per annum alumina refinery plant in Galang Batang, Indonesia. Future expansion will add another one million tonnes.
