The cross-category, 148-lot sale is expected to fetch HK$234 million (US$30 million), the highest pre-sale estimate for an auction series for Phillips in Asia, the auction house said. Leading the evening sale on Nov. 24 is Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Thermopolae, created in 1985, three years before the artist died of a heroin overdose at age 27.
