In September’s rankings, the Vietnamese women’s football team are ranked sixth in Asia. This represents a rise of one place to 34th place in the world with 1659 points. At present, the women’s team are behind only five other teams from Asia, including Australia, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea.
