The Dow Jones industrials rose 237.45 points or 0.91% to 26,355.47; The Nasdaq Composite advanced 102.72 points or 1.30% to 7,976.88; The Standard and Poor's 500 was 31.51 points or 1.08% higher at 2,937.78. NEW YORK, New York - Solid gains were made on Wall Street on Wednesday, following on from gains in Europe and most of Asia.
