In Japan, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, yields on 10-year government bonds have been dropping sharply. Recession fears have sent investors pouring into the assets. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note broke below the 2-year rate early Wednesday.
