Asian stocks advanced on Thursday as investors awaited optimistic signs ahead of Saturday’s meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping at the G-20 summit. The Nikkei 225 added 1.19% to close at 21,338, while the Topix index added 1.23% to finish its trading day at 1,553.
