| Southern Baptists condemn 'alt-right' as 'scheme of devil' |
|
Southern Baptists have formally condemned the political movement known as the 'alt-right' at a national meeting after leaders initially refused to take up the issue. At an annual convention in Phoenix, they voted to 'decry every form of racism, including alt-right white supremacy, as antithetical to the Gospel of Jesus Christ'.
