Former Prime Minister Perry Christie resigned as leader of the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) last night at a PLP National General Council (NGC) meeting and said he takes full responsibility for the PLP’s crushing defeat at the polls in last week’s election. The PLP secured four of the 39 constituencies.
