BAY CITY, MI -- Years in federal prison are looming over a 73-year-old woman who helped undocumented immigrants find work on Michigan farms, an activity her attorney argues would be "saint like" if money weren't involved. U.S. District Judge Thomas L. Ludington was to sentence Irene Maria Martinez Gonzales the afternoon of Thursday, April 27.
