Last Sunday, Free Press columnist Nancy Kaffer offered some misleading claims regarding SB 269, a bill I proposed in the Michigan Senate. Under current state law, religious leaders who attempt to influence voters regarding elections are subject to a $500 fine and/or 90 days in jail.
