Seraphim was transferred from Kenya in 2001 and ArchBishop Makarios Tillyrides replaced him. He, however, went with the share certificates and after persistent claim by the Patriarch Theodoros Nicholas Choreftakis, he returned them. The shares were sold in 2012 and 2013 for about Sh600 million.
