The Brillante Ma. Mendoza-helmed Sinag Maynila recently announced a shorter but diverse list of films that qualified for the competing full-length category. The finalists are helmed by both seasoned and newbie directors: seasoned TV and movie director Joel Lamangan, HF Yambao, Ricardo Carranza, Jason Orfalas and Arnel Barbarona.
