Mt. Pisgah African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, which will turn 200 years old in 2018, suffered what its leadership calls a “catastrophic” incident on July 21 of last year. The ceiling in the sanctuary collapsed during a beautiful, sunny, summer day that has left a cloud over the church’s future.
