| Enlightenment can still be found despite death of Leigh Creek mining town |
|
They came for the good money, to save, to make themselves secure. Many – most of them – stayed longer than they needed to secure their future. The town born under sentence of death became their home. They stayed for the money, fell in love with the place, and stayed for love. Or for failure of the imagination.
