LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The nation's coal mines are close to setting a new low mark for on-the-job deaths for the third year in a row. With just a day left in 2016, U.S. coal mines have recorded nine deaths, two fewer than last year. It could be the first time that the number of deaths has been in single digits.
