While the Irish celebrate St. Patrick Day on March 17, for the Mexicans, the key feast day each year is Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec. 12. Both festivals have their roots in the spreading of Christianity.
At St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center, the Feast of Guadalupe was celebrated a day earlier on Sunday.
