CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- A Newton man has been charged with DWI in a crash that killed a Caldwell County pastor Tuesday evening. Officials say that Zachariah Arthur Carl, 31, was driving while impaired on Highway 70 near Conover when he ran a red light, slamming into another vehicle.
