Men in Stoke-on-Trent earn 21 per cent more than women, on average, according to the latest data. Information released by the Office for National Statistics shows being a man in the city could net you an extra £1.99 an hour. The figures show men living in the Potteries earn the equivalent of £11.27 an hour, on average, while women make just £9.
