Police say the girl ran into the street "without notice" about 9:45 a.m. Sunday and was hit by a passing vehicle that fled the scene. The girl died from her injuries. A pastor who is related to the girl says she was with family headed to church when the incident happened. Authorities didn't immediately identify her.
