D.W. Griffith's 1915 silent film made its way to Boulder in August of 1916 for a run at the Curran Theater. (The Curran was built in 1906 and was replaced by the Boulder Theater in the 1930s.) A 25-piece orchestra accompanied the film. The film attracted great crowds.
