A POLICE officer from Swakopmund committed suicide by hanging himself on Wednesday. According to acting Erongo crime investigations coordinator, chief inspector Erastus Iikuyu, officer Daniel Akawa hanged himself with a rope from the roof of his dwelling in Mondesa, where he was staying with his girlfriend.
