VERO BEACH — When Dick and Helen Post visited a sick friend at the Indian River Memorial Hospital in 1994, they were struck the hospital didn’t have a chapel for meditation or prayer. The deeply religious couple had relocated from New Jersey, and wanted to make a meaningful gift to the people of Vero Beach.
