Simmons was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital, where he died an hour later, police said. Police told WLWT this was not a random act, and officials believe Simmons was targeted. But his family cannot understand who would want to hurt him and why. “We don't know anything, we don't have any idea on anybody," Simmons' sister Shequila Mathews said.
