| Bake Off's Tom Gilliford is a left-wing campaigner who quit teaching |
|
Away from the kitchen, where he makes his own cheese and salami, his passion is clearly education. The campaigner has urged teachers to be more 'creative' rather than being 'drill sergeants' mainly 'teaching to tests'. He said he joined the profession after university believing he had a 'moral purpose' but quit after becoming disenchanted.
